Of course I change them up with different vegetables, beans and roasted delicious beets are a main ingredients to a healthy delicious weight loss. The salads are made to order by you! They will always be what you like to add. I have no meat added to the salads I ate, however some of the beans were the protein additions.

I have one or two slices on my salad a day. You have to be very careful with over eating on beans, most contain carbs that turn into sugar and then into fat.
I try to stick to green beans but my love for chickpeas and snap peas keep me eating them in moderation.
I will give you suggestions and alternatives but as a rule you can eat as much vegetables that you want to fill up on and use the one you love to eat.

I would count calories that went into that salad when adding cheese, beans and fish also.
Everyone is different on how many calories they need in my case I stuck to 700 calories and lost 1 pound and sometimes more a week.
It was slow going in the beginning. When I started seeing results I got excited and motivated even more.

For lunch and dinner I had salads changed up one with avocado and at dinner I would have one with grilled shrimp.

Daily Salad Recipe Suggestions
Roasted Beet recipe see below eat 3 to 4 slices on your salad Hearts of Palm drained and rinsed
Any kind of tomatoes fresh chopped in small pieces no limit
Cucumbers as many as you can eat
Chopped red cabbage as much as you can eat
Sliced olives 1 teaspoon
Shredded carrots 1 tablespoon per salad
Snap peas 1/2 cup
Chickpeas 1/4 cup
Romaine, Spinach, Beet Greens, Arugula, or any kind of mixed greens or lettuce no limit
Artichoke Hearts canned drained no limit
Fresh corn on the cob 1 ear cooked and shucked
Chopped celery no limit
Fresh corn on the cob 1 ear cooked and shucked
Chopped celery no limit
Cheese in moderation preferably mozzarella or feta 2 tablespoons
Any kind of peppers no limit
Optional: grilled shrimp, salmon, tuna or any seafood you prefer
Raw chopped broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, butternut cooked squash no limit
Balsamic Vinegar 2 tablespoons
Olive oil 2 tablespoons
any herbs and spices you like
instructions:
Roasted Beets Recipes
Cut the beet tops off and save for salad. Cut the bottom off the beet. Wash the beets very well.
Leave skins on. Rub them with olive oil. Salt, pepper and granulated garlic on them evenly. Wrap in foil. Bake the beets for around 2 hours at 350 degrees until fork tender. Cool, peel the skin off, (it will come off easy) and slice beets thinly. Refrigerator any beets in a zip lock bag.
Serve on top of greens of choice and any or all the vegetables listed of choice with above suggestions. Add cheese on top and fish if using.
Drizzle with balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil and any seasonings your prefer.
